"Posada" for Immigrant Children of NYC

In Mexico a "posada" celebrates the unity between family members and friends who want to share their happiness and what they are thankful for before the Christmas celebrations.

This year we have partnered with Yonkers Sanctuary Movement to bring this festive celebration to immigrant children whose parents were deported or are in the process of being deported as a result of the "zero tolerance" policy that prosecuted immigrants who crossed the border illegally.

We were assigned 40 children. Each children will receive a gift from their "Mariposa Santa" to make this year a little merrier.
